Have had for 8 years, been running well except for last 2 years. After starting and running for 15-20 minutes engines bogs down like it is either getting to much gas or not enough. Does not sputter or mis-fire. Pushing in the choke helps to pick up more hp...Any Help?? Thanks

Check and/or rebuild the carbs. A clogged jet on one of your carbs could produce the problem you are describing.

Alternatively, check the fuel line for a possible loose connection or cracked hose. Might also ensure that gas tank is venting properly. Can run with gas cap off to check this (ie. if problem goes away with gas cap off then tank not venting properly.

Most likely a carb problem though.

Good Luck!

If it has a foam liner inside the hood, the liner could be disintagrating letting small bits of foam to enter the float bowls through the bowl vents. It would require removing the foam. Trying to dislodge any stray bits outta there, and removing the float bowls and removing small (almost microscopic) bits of debris.

Happened to me. Every attempt to locate a problem would clear the problem as the bits fell out of the jets. Then upon running for what could be 1-20 minutes it would pick up a bit in the jet(s) again reeking havick.
