1986 mercury 90hp O.B.- How many cylindes / where does tach connect

I have a 1986 90hp mercury outboard. It has 3 carborators and 6 spark plugs. I am trying to find out if this motor is a 6 cylinder. There is a sticker on the motor that reads 3 cyl. / 2 cyl but that is all I can find. Also, if anyone knows how to connect a tachometer to this engine I could use some info. Thank you in advance for your help.

You got a six cylinder......As for the tachometer, you will have to hook it up off the power pack.<br />You will have to find a schematic to find a wire.........
