1986 Mercury 25xd Carb Rebuild

Hi all-

I seem to be having carb problems on my 1986 25xd. How easy is a carb rebuild for this? I am a first time boat owner, but willing to try if it is doable. Can anyone recommend a carb rebuild kit? I have the SELOC manual for it, but not a parts manual, so therefore I am cautious to buy one without know it is the right kit.

I recommend going to http://boats.net - looking up your specific model and year of motor - and ordering a carb rebuild kit through there. I just ordered one for my '88 30 HP Johnson and it was like $20.

Thanks Hezekiah - the one on boats.net is almost $90. Are there any other recommendations out there?

You do not need the $90 dollar one as that is a complete overhaul kit try this # [h=1]1395-9761 1[/h]
