Got to the lake last night went fishing and when I stopped at my fishing spot I turned the key to off and the motor didn't want to shut off. Turned the key back and forth a couple of times. Each time I went back to ON it would pick up speed a little bit. Turned it back to Off and it died down but would not quit completely. Even the safety kill switch wouldn't kill it completely. Finally had to use the enricher to choke it out to kill it. Any ideas? Thanks.

I would ohm out yellow black wire at the switchbox to ground with the key off. You should read pretty close to zero ohms. If not, check all connections especially grounds and key switch.

Well if I did it right, don't know a whole lot about using multi-meters, set meter on 20k on ohm setting red wire on multi-meter to yellow black on switchbox. Black wire from multi-meter on common ground. key off read zero.

I believe that motor has two switchboxes. Going by your description of the problem, sounds like one of them has a problem with the kill switch. You need to do the ohms test on both switchboxes.

After that, you could disconnect the yellow/black wire one at a time while idling the motor to see which one does not make a difference. That would be the bad switchbox.
