1986 Johnson 60 hp alarm

Anyone know how to get a Johnson motor owner's guide or manual? We have a Lund Tyee with a Johnson O.B. motor and an alarm has been sounding for no obvious reason. The only other time the alarm has sounded was when we were low on oil, but we have plenty of oil in the reservoir. We bought the boat and motor used and have had it for several years without a problem until now. Any suggestions on where to get information about this motor? Or any suggestions about the problem?

Well, I might be able to help you out. I have a 70 evinrude VRO and had the same problem. However I noticed a pattern of when it happened. Generally it only happend after cruising at low speeds with the bow up. I think the oil warning float inside the resevoir gets jammed. Try giving the resevoire a shake the next time it happens. <br />Just a suggestion!!<br />As for a manual you can go to any dealer and ask them to order one. Where do you live???
