1986 Johnson 40HP won't run unless choke is on

Not sure if I need to keep reposting or not. But I have a 40HP Johnson and it won't run unless the choke is on I took both carbs off and cleaned the very well the brass orafices on the bowls are all messed up from tring to remove without the right tool. Also there are two tubes going down the center into the bowl the OUTER tube is cracked on one side. Can anyone tell me were I can get that tube and how to remove the brass things from the bowls now that they are damaged?

Parts can be found at http://shop2.evinrude.com in the electronic parts catalog, or from a dealer.
The jets can be carefully drilled out, but this is the only case where I'd recommend using a screw extractor (EZ Out)

This outer tube is not shown anywere. I will check with the parts guy in the AM.

That tube might be part of the carb body, not sure, just thinkin.

watch ebay you need a new carb body. not replaceable. you have a private message.

Ok got two used ones today. $75.00 each and rebuilt kits. They are soaking now. And yes everything is off of them. Tommorow it should be all set.
