1986 Johnson 30HP

Found a 1986 Johnson Remote Steer 30HP engine today. The seller sent me a few pics and it looks to be all there. Has a clear title and comes with the remote throttle box. Engien doesn't run. Seller asking 250 Dollars. I am planning on checking the comorpession on the engine, checking that it shifts properly, and that all other components are in place. Is 250 too much? Motor needs paint

Question is, why doesn't it run? Check compression and spark too. If compression is good and it seems to shift properly then yeah it may be worth that. The remote control box is worth $50.00 - 100.00 depending on where you are at.

Remember this though. With out actually running it could seem to shift fine but still have a worn out clutch dog.
