1986 Johnson 150 How to Set timing

I have the 150 Johnson. Is there a way to set or check the timing without running wot????? I reviewed the manual but did not locate this info. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks

Use the "search" function (right under "Post A Reply") and look for "timing".<br />Mr. Joe Reeves has posted several times how to time it at idle.<br /><br />g'luck & c/6<br />Hooty
