Having problems getting my starter to engage. I have a dead short from the rectifier. If I remove the ground wire from it, all seems to be fine, except the starter spins but will not engage... should the ground wire from the rectifier have power?? never seen this before... first time trying to get it started this year.. stopped last year and all was fine...
