1986 Bayliner

Interested in looking at a 1986 14 foot Bayliner with a 50hp Force outboard. Owner claims about 50 hours use on the boat and it does look very clean in the pictures.
Any opinions on the asking price of $3900 and the Force outbord. I would intend to use it site seeing around the bays and lakes in San Diego. Thanks.

Seems a little pricey for my area, not sure about CA though. For the same money here, I could be into a 18' boat. A 14' with a 50HP on big water (San Diego Bay) it a little gutsy to me ... or at least will get rather bumpy in traffic. If it's in good shape, the Force wouldn't be a deal killer ... but it's not my first choice either.

That boat sold new for about 4700. Here in Oregon it would be about 1500 to 1700 in good shape.

Look somewhere else. No reason to buy a boat from some of the worst bayliner years with an outboard that very few mechanics will touch. Not to mention parts are getting harder and harder to find for force outboards.

For that price keep looking. Plenty of used boats out there.

I'm a force fan. But that is high.
