1986 85hp force weight?

Hi All,

Does anyone know how much the 85hp force weight? my is giving me lot of trouble. Loss power and kocking noise

when shifting into gear. thinking of getting a 4 stroke motor. Can a 86 bayliner handle a 50hp 210lbs?

What size bayliner, what is the hp rating?
86 85 hp weighs 249 lbs.I would stick with a 2 stroke motor.At least 75% of the rating on the boat.You won't be happy with a 50 especially a 4 stroke.
  A 2 stroke will probably do a little better but just to small.
