I recently removed my LU to paint it. I yanked the water pump and now it is time to replace it. This is my question: My pump uses the half circle shaped plastic key. The hub of the pump has this cut out, but here's the problem. there is a lip on one side of the brass hub, so that you can only install the key from one side when the pump is on the shaft. Which way do I put the pump on? Should it be with the cut out up, or with the cut out down? This is a little confusing if you have never seen the pump before, I tried to explain it best I could.
