1986 200 Evinrude locked-up?

This weekend the motor ran great then it started to knock? Then it locked-up. One piston won't move so I'm thinking connecting rod. My question is why? Why did the rod go down? It had plenty of oil. No piston gauling cylinders look good. Why....? Wheres the best and cheapest place to get a crank and rod?
