Need to change carbs on my 140 due to cracks and tubes. I have 1995 130 carbs wih throttle bodies and air box with linkage. The throttle bodies and carbs have the same bor as the originals. Just the air jets and mains are differant. The other differance is the idle screw on the top left of each carb. Can I swap jets from old to 1995's and start from there or start on these 130's and richen them up some to run smooth. Any thoughts are welcome.

Well,if it runs lean, your pistons will let you know.

Tubes and cracks on the old cabs? Tell us more.

I don't think a 1995 carb will work on a 1986 engine.

They are very different.

Those carbs will work perfectly. Use the 130 throttle bodys, carbs and airbox. DO NOT change jetting. Use them as is.

You can get emulsion tubes but you'll have to find a dealer who's willing to call BRP to get them. Kinda hard sometimes.

DHP, there are cracks on (2) of the bodies at the main emulsion tubes thus causing poor performance, on (3) corb bodies there is corrosion on the tubes. Dhadley, the idle jets are 33 on the 95 carbs, I have boysen reeds do I need to go down on air jet like the originals? Thanks for the reponses

That might not hurt with the Boyesen reeds. About the only thing that hurts the Boyesens is a lean sneeze at idle. Richening up the idle can't hurt.
