1985 scorpion 210 Not getting spark

I have a 5.0 liter 305 chevy small block OMC stern drive Chris Craft Scorpion 210 bowrider. I just put in a new distributor, points,condenser, rotor, cap, wires, ignition coil and plugs. It gets gas and will crank but won't fire. Am I forgetting something. It ran great last season. Any suggestions.

I'd be tempted to check the point gap as well as your coil and possible grounding connection. Just soooooooo many things could be the culprit. It would be smart to also make sure you have the distributor set correctly and the advance it operating properly. Make sure you find TDC and note the position when reinstalling the distributor. Check all of your vacuum hose connections as well.

replace starting solenoid around $20, had the same problem with my 83 215 wac scorpion
