Hi all!
Last weekend I ran my boat after sitting since last summer. I used it for 2 hours and it ran great. After taking a quick break I ran the boat again and found out when I opend up the throttle, I had no power. Then engine idled, ran at very low speeds but I could not get any power.
I just had the stator changed out because it did not meet specs.
Tomorrow I will take the boat out and see if changing the stator cured my problem. If not, what is the next step?
Compression in all 6 cylinders are at 120psi. The only other thing that is visibily wrong is the seal in the cap on the oil tank needs to be placed, but I don't think that would have anything to do with lack of power.
If anyone has any suggesstions, please help me out.

Thank you

High speed jets could be gummed up from sitting for a year.

I would definitely replace the oil cap. If there is any leakage around the cap the system cannot pressure up and will start acting funny. You might also check to make sure the linkage is hooked up that goes to the timing advance. A friend of mine had that same problem about a week ago. Good luck!
