Hello all, I just want to put this out there...I was having issues of bogging down at speeds above idle. It was not getting sufficient fuel to keep up. I spent a lot of time and $ replacing parts, rebuilding carbs, and trying to adjust. What I finally discovered was that my triangular fuel pump had a gaskets that were not an exact fit. I'll provide pictures below. Going back several months before my bogging issue began, my motor was surging and I found that my fuel pump diaphragm was old and needed replacing. I went to my local Mercury dealer and obtained a diaphragm kit which consisted of the diaphragm and two gaskets. I did not notice the gasket difference at that time. In hindsight, that's when my bogging issues began. Here are the pics:

FYI, apparently all triangular fuel pumps made in this time era are not exactly the same. I don't remember the part number of the wrong kit, but the part number of the correct OEM Quicksilver kit is 21-30430A13-B. This kit is actually called a Check Valve Kit.

Happy boating!
