I have a powerhead from an eclectric start outboard and am putting it it on a manual start outboard. I don't have the contrls or wiring harness and will be adding switches on the manual motor. Can someone tell me which wire needs to be grounded to kill the engine when it is running? On my manual start engine it is the yellow/black wire going into the back of the switchbox. There is no similar wire on my electric start motor. Also what does the grey wire coming from teh rectifier going into the wiring harness to the control module connect to in the control module?...the tachometer? I'll attempt to attach a photo of my wiring diagram.

If you have the plug from the electric start you need to remove it and should still be a black and yellow wire. Gray wire should be for a tach

Thanks! So To kill the engine I just attach the black and yellow wire to the ground, right? And thus won't do any damage?
