Hi all. I am new to outboards but I have been wroking on cars along time. I have a 1985 mariner 75 hp with triangle feul pump. I tested the fuel pressure with my MAC fuell pressure guage and it only had 1.5 psi while cranking the motor so I ordered a quicksilver check valve kit off of here. Today was pretty nice so I went out in the garage and installed the kit (check valves, diaphram, and gaskets). I did notice the kit came with a little spring and a cap but when I took mine apart it didnt have these so I put it back on the motor and hooked up my guage and im still only getting 2 psi while cranking and the pulse doesn't seem that strong. I can squeeze the bulb and get a strong flow. I cant seen to find a spec in my manual for this, it just says it should have a healty flow while cranking. The motor does have good compression 127, 123, 127, 123.
