Tore motor apart and did complete rebuild. Went thru break in procedure. Have taken out a dozen times and ran great. Yesterday, while going up the lake at 4k, it died. Starts right back up and no issues at low rpm (1k). Try to advance throttle and it dies. Carbs are rebuilt, fuel pump all new gaskets, new fuel lines all were done during rebuild. Any help where to start will be greatly appreciated.

Take it back out to the lake with a helper. Get motor to act up. When it does it have somebody pump the primer bulb. If that helps, it's a fuel pump or fuel delivery issue.

Does it suddenly quit, dead, or does it slow down, run rough and then quit?

Check high speed stator winding.
I put in barrel yesterday evening and all seemed fine. Just hit 3k in gear for a sec with no issue. I know not supposed to do that but closest lake is 45 minutes. If winding is bad, would it still accelerate OK in a barrel but not with a load? If so, will check windings this evening

yes, it will.... jus don't make a habit of doin' it....

normally bad high or low side of stator will not cause it ta die.. if high side is bad it will usually run jus fine up ta 28/3000 and jus quits pullin' but still runs at those rpm jus fine...............

Stator tested good. Will be the weekend at best before I can get back on water, weather depending. Will try primer bulb then. This thing is driving me crazy

Did you change the plugs after the heavy oil mix break in ? Have the carbs been cleaned and set up ?
