1985 25hp johnson, put boat in and it ran good, top speed of 23 mph. Fished for a while and on the way back to the ramp motor would not run faster than 8-10 mph. Any ideas on what the problem could be? checked control cables and fuel line from tank to motor is fine. Motor still sounds normal but does not hit top speed. Any help is greatly appreciated.
