no, they need new parts installed, seals, etc.
The jets have to be physically cleaned with a wire.
Problem is, all it takes is one peice of junk to block a jet , that cylinder runs lean (hot) and the piston can easily fry at WOT, you wouldn't notice til too late.
I have a Johnson 150, 6 carbs, the only (relatively) hard part was removing and reinstalling the carbs, its very simple to do otherwise.
Runs like a clock now, starts with a blip of the key and never quits til its put back on the trailer, its well worth doing yourself, save about $500 .
Then use additive to keep em clean, drain bowls at end of season etc.
