I purchased a 1985 Honda 7.5 hp outboard new. The motor was used very little, and after the first year it was used the engine seized. The oil wasn't flowing properly. Honda made the repairs after much negotiations, and said that the "oil filter" was plugged. I have recently decided to use the motor again, but can find no reference in the owners manual to an "oil filter". I will of coarse change the motor oil before using, but I need to know if there is really an oil filter that has to be changed on this particular motor. I would appreciate any information on this subject.

Any Honda outboards I have seen have a twist on filter on the side of the engine block under the cowl. Honda filters are blue and about half the diameter of an automotive filter. Mind you, I've never looked at a 7.5.

The Oil filter is not a normal oil filter, it is attached below the engine and sits in the oil pan. It cannot be changed without removing the engine from the rest of the motor - a lot of work and not usually necessary.
