1985 force 85 hp. power trim and lift motor

the two long srews that hold the housing together have come out and brushes have come off shaft, can i put this back together and if so ,how do i hold brushes back on spring while i slide shaft back in ?

Firsttime....you can use very thin wire to hold the brushes in place. When you get the brushes down on the commutator, cut the wires and remove them.
