My streering cable recently snapped at the pivot block in the foot control of my 1985 Evinrude bowmount trolling motor. I can't seem to figure out how to disconnect the cable from the head of the motor so I can attempt a repair or replace the cable. I may just buy a new motor, but this one has worked great for me. The cheapest replacement cable I can find is ~$65-80 and for that you can get a ways to a new one on fall sale. Thanks for any ideas on how to handle my problem, I'm starting to get the jitters from fishing withdrawl
