I have an E2RCOC that I am bringing back to life. After resolving some ignition leakage issues, I have the engine running.
It starts great and runs at full throttle great, but, when I pull the throttle down to half or less, it stalls out. I thought some of it might have been caused by the leaking ignition power.
When adjusting the carburetor screws, high speed performance responds to slow speed adjustment needle. There does not seem to be any performance response when adjusting the high speed needle.
I have had the carburetor apart several times trying to ensure the low speed circuit is clear. When I rebuilt it, I got into the low speed circuit and replaced the welch plug.
I can't think of any reason why it would respond so well to low speed adjustment to run at high speed.....
Thanks,
J
