1985 Bayliner Capri AQ125A NO FUEL TO CARB

I have no fuel to my carb. I removed fuel line at carb from pump and no fuel comes out when I crank. Is there a fuel pump fuse? if so, Where? How can I test fuel pump?

I think the fuel pump should be mechanical unless it was modified.

The pump could be bad or you have some blockage in the line somewhere.

Also, check the timing belt to make sure it didn't break. The fuel pump runs off that.

Do you have fuel in the tank?

Disconect fuel line on pump coming from gas tank and run a new line to a small can of gas and see if you get fuel this way

I had to do this and also prime the pump with fuel (Fill the line then elevate the open end while cranking to prime the pump) I had to do this 3 times to get the pump to where it would pump normally.

Thanks to all i will try to prime. the engine starts with starting fluid no problem. However , No gas to carb.
