Recently purchased a used 1985 Bass Tracker 1710 from out of state and there is no Id/spec tag on the trailer. Need to have it inspected to title/license and have to provide a statement showing trailer dry weight. Would rather not go through the process of multiple weighings or removing the boat from the trailer since I would need a trip permit for each day of the process and time is limited. Would appreciate any information on this trailer.

welcome aboard.

not sure where you are trying to register it, or what trailer is under it.

Here in FL to register, you either need scaled weight of trailer, or you will need the shipping weight of the trailer (trailer company can provide this from VIN) I have had to email trailer vendors multiple times.

if you will need boat weight - I would contact Bass Pro for this.

If you have a previous registration and/or title, it will have the GVW (weight). If you have the VIN, a search can be done.

If you have to go the "homebuilt" route, I don't think that trailer weighed more than 500#.

The trailer was part of a package from Bass Tracker Marine, a previous owner disposed of the certificate of origin because in their state registration/licensing is not required. Bass Tracker does not give out that information on anything older than five years and there is no sticker on the trailer. What I am hoping for is that someone who owns one of these could tell me the dry weight of the trailer. I know 1985 was the first year the fiberglass/kevlar package was offered, but I am not sure how many years after that.
