1985 90hp mercury, seems to miss

hi again,<br />solved part of my initial dilemma with fixing the fuel line. now the motor starts and idles well, however when i go to increase the speed the boat seems to be "missing". it does not go full speed, and it surges, (almost like it is hitting bottom when u give it gas), any help will be greatly appreciated.. plugs look good.<br />fuel is all new and in new tanks...<br />fish

Engine misfires at high speed maybe --Coils breaks down.-- Coil shorts though insulation.( bad plug wires)---Wrong spark plugs or wrong gap. --- too much spark advance. ( I had to disconnect my spark advance/ idle stabilizer module, it went bad )<br /> A manual helps. <br /> Good Luck,<br /> MRM
