1985 75hp Fuel Pump

Is there any option for a new replacement for a triangle fuel pump Mercury 73434A 5?
I don't think I'm getting the spring and end cap put together the right way. I have an old repair manual that doesn't show the spring.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

What holds the spring part #6 in place? I've never rebuilt a triangle pump and I have it in pieces.
