1985 70HP evinrude VRO

Ihave 70 Rude that runs great but leaks oil where the oil pick-up sits atop the oil tank. This motor has been sitting around for most of its life. I am not sure if the vro pump is variable 150-50 or not but I would like to replace it with a 50:1 model # if it comes to that. can that be done or should it be done. I am trying to wait to end of season to go through lines and repipe everything. In the mean time I am using 50:1 in gas tank with vro as insurance

Don't run the rest of the season at 25:1. Use the "search" function on VRO's. Hundreds of Posts. Actually, search "VRO disconnect". If you're already mixing, just remove the oil hose and lose the tank. I have an 85 120hp and no longer use the tank. Good Luck.
