Its able to be done with a punch and a hammer, although you may want to be prepared to replace the nut afterwards. It may get pretty well beat up by the time it gets out. If its never been out before, it may not want to come out at all. I've had to drill into the nut in several places and bust it out, being careful not to mess up the threads, then put in a new nut upon reassembly. There is a lock tab under the nut, make sure to find that and bend it forward before trying to unscrew the nut.
Good Luck, Bruce

Very very tight. There is a torque, but without the special tool there is no way to measure it. If your using a hammer and punch, get it as tight as you can without busting up the new nut too bad. Make sure the threads are all nice and clean, grease up the new nut and housing threads upon installation.
Good Luck
