I just snagged a what i belive to be an 85 Capri 15 foot from my brother in law. It has a Force 50 on the back and the whole thing is really in nice shape. Everything orignal and the motor looks like you could eat off it. It was his brothers who has passed and has been stored inside up till last year then out side last winter but hasn't been used. We pulled it out cleaned it up.. new battery, new fuel tank... clean carb and filter. Also cleaned the stator due too no spark, put on some muff's and touched her off. She started and ran like a champ. Reved up.. went into gear just seemed to be pretty good. I did notice water coming from the proper places however one spot that i knew wasn't right. If you are facing the motor and on the right side the back bolt that bolts the bottom half to the rest of the motor water was pouring out of this location. Since it's been sitting i have noticed oil leaking down the back side of the lower unit. I decided to drain the oil and to my suprise it was dark with no clear or signs of water once so ever? I added oil again and again noticed a little bit of oil on the lower unit. I took a peek up at that bolt and on the back of the bolt there is a tiny hole. No cracks anywhere around it but a perfect hole?
This I assume shouldn't be there? If not any thoughts on how to repair it.. or does it not look good for the home team.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated... hate to see something run so well be shoot down because of the tiny hole. However i can only assume it would bring water right in to the lower unit which is bad bad bad.
Thanks in advance for any thing you can offer about this.
