1985 35 Hp Mercury Idle Trouble

My 1985 35 Hp All At Once Would Start When At Idle Position Have Give It Thrittoe To Start Then It Wont Idle And Gas Leaks From The Carb. Any Ideas? I Thought Maybe The Float Or Needle May Be Sticking.

your on the right path.probably trash under the needle but that model had the plastic floats and i have seen them leak at the seam.....hope that helps

thanks for the help. i went back out just now and when you pump the ball it shoots fuel out of the top carb hole also. if i take it apart could i use liqiud gasket for the bowl gasket. i havent seen them anywhere without buying a whole set. i can make the manifold side easy. thanks

no dont use liquid gasket on the bowl.the fuel will break it down.the gaskets are availavle separate....any napa store can get them,,,if not i can
