1985 25 hp evinrude pee port question

I just bought a 1985 25hp Evinrude motor and I cant remember seeing any peeport or if water is coming out of it. I'm sure that water is spitting out of the exaust port on the back and right below the motor behind the shaft. So, do most Evinrude motor have pee port? I'll be sure to go home and check it this after noon.

Anything I should do as far as maintience on the motor before it goes out on the water?

That engine should certainly have a pee hole; take the cowl off and look for a rubber hose that leads from the engine to an attachment on the lower cowl. It could be stopped up by an insect and you will need t run a piece of weed whacker line up in it to get it unstopped. Good luck

Replace water pump, gear lube and run 50:1. JMO.

I drain the lower unit gear oil and seems to be black oil so I assume that there is no water intrusion, so I went ahead and change the lower unit oil.

I'm looking foward to changing out the water pump. Do anyone have any good site for replacing the water pump, and where to buy the kit?

Is there a gasket that goes between the lower unit and the mid shaft to the lower cowl? It's where you take the bolt off to take the lower unit out.

Any other maintience suggestion?
