I think you took out the gear shift arm pin, I don't know how to put it back in correctly, don't force it, somebody that knows will answer very soon. hang tight I do know, make sure you get three new hard seals not rubber o rings, for vent, fill, drain, and use 100% synthetic marine gear gear oil , if its not over budget .

You did remove the shift yoke pivot screw. Sometimes if you don't move anything it will go right back in. In your case the yoke has moved and replacing the pin is a little more complicated. You remove the water pump and base plate. Then with the oil drained you can look down into the front of the lower unit.

Somewhere on this forum, someone wrote a post about this problem and replacing the shift parts. Search for it. It was a very clever solution. If you can not find it or someone else can not direct you to it then your only other option is to remove the anode, rear bearing carrier, and prop shaft. Then replace the parts that have moved.

Look in the hole for the bolt. If you can see the yoke hole where the bolt goes through use a small punch to line it up with the hole. Then put the bolt back in. If you can't see the hole try wiggling the shift lever may be able to let you line it up.

The oil drain screw (most 125's have one) is under the "bullet" and it is a recessed allen head screw. There are two other slotted head screws just above the "bullet" clearly marked as "Vent" and "Fill"
