1985 120 idle

what should a 85 120 idle when its on the hose i just got mine all timed and it runs 2200 rpms on the hose is this norm cant take it to the lake rain

Expect 800 to 900 on muffs. Did you have the warm up lever down after you got it going?

On the hose I would expect to see something in the 1200-1300 range. 2200 might be a bit much. Make sure the throttle plates are closed on both sides.

ok did a sink and link again still idles at 2000 if i turn the idle screw down to were its in the 1200 to 1400 range it wont stay running this thing is still on break in oil im an the 9th hour will the 50 to1 mix help
