1984 Trim/Til;t Motors .. Which One ?

I have an '84 115 on the boat right now. I have also purchased an '84 150. Both Trim motors have covers that are totally rusted off. There is no way to identify a part number. Everyone I have called says I need a part number to identify which one I need. I know there are two wires coming out of both the 115 and 150 and they both look like the same motor. Can anyone verify what replacement I need and will they fit both the 115 and 150 ? ..... TIA

Even with good covers I couldn't tell you what motor you had,but I do know you need other people to call.You need correct answers

The differences on the trim motors were internal.If you needed brushes or such,you needed to measure the diameter of the tilt motor,as OMC used a few suppliers,and the internals were different and not interchangable.The complete motors were interchangable.They bolted to the same hydraulic system.

394176 is the # for the complete motor,and yes it fits 115/150 1984.
