I let the lower unit drop while checking my water pump and the shift rod pulled out. I am trying to pull the prop shaft bearing housing but can’t get it to come out. The book shows using a flywheel puller type device. I rigged one up and pulled hard enough to bend a pretty stout piece of metal. Before I rig up something stronger I wanted to check with you guys.

Pull harder?

Do I have to remove driveshaft first?

Also Clymer’s manual does not match my motor exactly. The info for the 115 hp seems most accurate.
