Does anyone have a Shoreline trailer that knows what the VIN format is supposed to be and/or where to find it? We have the original bill of sale but can't find where the trailer VIN is. I don't know if the number list on the bill of sale is the VIN, serial # (aka non-standard VIN), or model number since it has dashes. My only comparison are trailers post-2011 with standard VINs and my 1969 Ship-Mate trailer which has a stamped 5-digit serial number which the DMV said was the VIN. This is what happens when you let registrations lapse 28 years.

The VIN label (sticker) had come off my trailer before I bought it.

To register, I had to apply for a “home built” trailer status to get a VIN tag from the State. A couple of pop rivits and it was done
