1984 omc i/o 3.0 4 cyl.??????

I need some help. I just bought a 1984 IMP<br />18',open bow,3.0 4cyl engine OMC.<br />How fast could it GO. I got 2 props with it,<br />one of them is damaged, 13 3/4 15p.<br />When riding it top speed RPMs is at 40,<br />Speedometer does'nt work.<br /> please help, to answer some questions thanks...bobby.

well it depends how much weight is on board, including passengers, fuel etc. not too mention beer coolers.

well, it's capacity is 6 persons or 1120 lbs.<br />it's my first boat. dont know whats the hp on this engine. I see different prop pitches<br />you could use, maybe I need something higher?

If I were just getting into my first boat, I'd be more interested in taking a safe boating class than in seeing how fast the boat would go.
