Ok guys, well about a month ago, i couldnt get the motor running, now it is running great with the ears on it, but i put it in the water over the weekend and it went down hill from there. When i first put it in the water, it idled perfectly, backed off the trailer, great, put it forward and out of the bay i went. i got out of the no wake zone and went to give it a little gas and it popped and that was it. i was able to start it back up and limp it back into the dock, but whenever i tried to give it any throttle in the water, it would go for a second and backfire and quit. Got it back home, put the ears on it, and sure enough, ran like a champ. Could their be some water or gunk build up in the gas tank causing it to not run well under load?
