Hi,
1984 Mariner Pull start to Electric start conversion
I'm looking for either a conversion kit or parts to make the conversion myself. The Serial# is 695-021488 I can't seem to find any answers, is it even possible without making major modifications. Attached is a pic of the serial #

Thanks for any help.

You need the starter common to the 6 / 8 / 9.9 / 15 / 20 / 25 HP models , from many years of production..----Two bolts to hold the starter.----Ring gear that bolts to the flywheel.-----Wiring, switch , push button and solenoid from just about any motor or shelf.----A donor motor might be the best plan.

You have a Yamaha built motor ,You cannot use any of the parts racer is suggesting here. The parts Racer is suggesting only work on the Mercury Built motors. You will need to find either a donor motor or the corresponding Yamaha Parts.

Oh Yamaha huh? Like Yamaha the dirt bikes? Thats pretty cool, now I just need to find parts some how or a donor motor some how. Any suggestions on how I would get the part numbers? Thanks for your help.

It does say Mariner on the engine cover not Yamaha. I don't think the cover has been changed. Does that matter at all? Still Yamaha?
