I am having trouble removing the lower unit to install a water pump kit. Suggestions/trick would be appreciated.

DID YOU REMOVE THE BOLT UNDER THE TRIM TAB? SOUNDS DUMN BUT THEY HID ONE UNDER THERE. YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE TRIM TAB AND LOOK UP IN THERE TO SEE IT. HOPE THIS HELPS LET ME KNOW!

Did you disconnect the shift linkage under the carbs?
