Generally if it's consistent across all 4 cylinders, then you're fine.

As far as in comparison to a new motor, I'm not sure what the readings are for a 90-degree of that year when new. I know my 1997 60 degree 115 was about 140 all the way around when I tested it last year.. which is right on spec for me. Unfortunately I can't comment on yours, but if all 4 cylinders are within 10% of each other that's at least a very good sign.

About that time, OMC began using low compression heads on their crossflow engines. Your figures are pretty normal.

I get between 120 and 125 on all 4, on my 87 90HP crossflow.
