1984 Evinrude 90 HP VRO Disconnect

Howdy gents!

Just grabbed a new (to me anyway) Evinrude 90 HP VRO. The previous owner says he was running pre mix rather than the oiler. Cool with me, that's how I'd like to run it too.

So I'm looking under the hood here and can see the hose is disconnected.

But here's my question, is this the oiler?

And, should this be capped off?

Looks like the oil line to me, cap it if you want.
Probably woun't matter either way.

Cap it off. It keeps any crap out of it.
