1984 Black MAX 150 HP

can anyone tell me if a 1987 Xr2 150 hp outboard lower unit will fit a 1984 black max motor? I think this is is 2.0 litre engine but am not sure. I am in need of a lower unit for my 1984 motor and have found a "good" 1987 lower unit for $300.00 on craigslist.

It should bolt right up? Make sure the gear ratios are the same (should be 1.87:1)? I believe same gear boxes 135HP-200HP?

Yes it will fit.. the 2.0 liter engines are a 2:1 ratio unless its a Xr4 or MagII engine and that is the small housing 1:78:1 ratio
