1983 mercury 50hp, 500 thunderbolt fuel problems.

I got a 1983 mercury 50 hp . Boat was parked since 99 and not ran since. I replace water pump on it and replaced fuel tank, and fuel line from tank to motor. Motor fired right up with fresh fuel/oil mix! Motor ran great with water ears hooked up. Couple day later motor would not start up. So I started checking all fuel lines. All lines clean and clear. not getting fuel into bowls. Carb numbers are BA3DT. Would fuel diaphragm/pump cause this?

i had a similar issue that ended up being the hook up on the motor not opening and letting fuel reach the pump, just a thought.
