1983 Master craft 351?

I have a 1983 master craft stars and stripes with a 351 in it. I hooked up a new battery and it cranks really slow. Any advice where to start or what to check? Could it be the cables themselves or maybe the starter going out? Any advice would be very helpful.

Ayuh,.... It Could be Anything,.... So,.. Check Everything...

Corroded wiring ends are popular this time of year....

Depending on how mechanical you are.
I always load test my batteries(anyway)
Then start with the contacts.Battery switch?
The cables for bulges and wear spots?
Then the starter,rebuild or just clean.
Remove the plugs and check for rust and proper burn.

don't forget to check/clean the ground connection on the engine block.
