Hello,
I have a 70hp Johnson on my pontoon boat that runs out great except for this one issue. When going from low speed to full throttle I have to very slowly give it throttle or it will bog down and die.
As long as I very slowly push the control stick forward it will continue to raise the RPMs until WOT.
Anybody have any ideas? The powerhead was rebuilt and carbs cleaned about 15 hours ago. This throttle issue was a problem before the rebuild.
Once WOT is reached it runs like brand new.
It's very aggravating.
Thanks, Kevin
